INTER:CITIES BERLIN-SANTIAGO-LA SERENA (2016 - ongoing)
Joint project including LUX:NM and two festivals: Música Contemporánea (Santiago) and Músicahora (La Serena). Within this framework, artists exchanged various experiences with regard to the topic crossover, modern improvisation and conditions for freelance musicians in both countries.
In a "work in progress" scheme, young Chilean composers had the opportunity to work on new compositions with the instrumentalists of the LUX:NM Ensemble. Master classes and performances of compositions by German, Chilean and Polish composers were held during the Festival XXVI Festival de Música Contemporánea in Santiago de Chile and Músicahora in La Serena.

LULU BERNARD (2010 - ongoing)
Experimental music/sound-design Lulu Bernard was initiated in 2010 with its debut “unbekannt”. It has been commissioned for theater plays, incidental music, festivals, & movies, including 2022, El Lado Bello del Vacío and Así no Era.
Its music is inspired by the works of Steve Reich and the concepts of repetition, density, space and melody (or lack thereof).

THE GREEN DOME (2021 - ongoing)
THE GREEN DOME is a multimedia installation, walk-in sculpture in the form of a roofed dome with a floor space of at least 50 m2 outfitted with screens, projectors, real and fake plants, a floor made from soil, wood and plants, scent-sprayers, and a surround loudspeaker system.
THE GREEN DOME project aims to offer an interface in which visitors can listen to and come into communication with plants. Through new algorithms, THE GREEN DOME translates plant language. This enables a sensory-opening, diverse and sensitizing encounter between humans and plant species.
THE GREEN DOME is based on Suzanne Simard's works on plant neurobiology. Dr. Simard and LINV are active consultants of the project.

CORPORACIÓN CULTURAL ON (2020 - ongoing)
Founded in Los Ríos, ON is a joint-authorship effort focusing on the economic, cultural and touristic correlation between art and territory. With the assistance of a multidisciplinary team and GPS mapping, ON aims to create a network of locations that have inspired poets, painters and musicians alike. In addition, Arrayán is currently working in the project adAstra, which seeks to find the correlation between art and outer space, drafting the installation of telescopes/pillars with altazimuth mounts modified by local visual artists.More information here.
Arrayán, headquartered in Santiago de Chile, is an organization focused on both advancing/spreading artistic events and complex project analysis, including public and private fund-raising, copyright, data protection, due diligence and compliance.
SOY. Focusing on early childhood, SOY is characterized by addressing issues of gender equity and personal identity. The project was made under Law 18.985 and FONDART 2018. It has been premiered at Mori Parque Arauco plus five different seasons in venues involving children in social risk. SOY applied and won the National book fund in 2019.
HOLOGRAMA. Documentary about the Chilean experimental band from the 2000s Dolores Fiuler. The project was sponsored by Viña Santa Rita premiering in the Centro Arte Alameda, with extensive coverage by specialized magazines such as Rockaxis, POTQ, Super 45, NNM, and Bitácora de Cine, in addition to national radios Beethoven and Universidad de Chile.
Las Niñas (o die Mädchen en Alemán). Las Niñas was premiered in 2017 and praised by specialized critics, winning an award for best editing and best actress at the VII Juan Barattini Festival. The play was shown at Santiago OFF 2017 while having international exposure at the Nuevo León Festival in Monterrey, Mexico.
Qué Pasa en la Sala. QPELS is a dance piece directed by dancer Enrique Faúndez (BANCH). It was premiered at the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center in 2017. QPELS was praised by critics, having significant press coverage in chilean media sites like El Mostrador and Diario Financiero.
INTER:CITIES BERLÍN-SANTIAGO-LA SERENA. The first version of this event had German Ensamble LUX:NM in Chile. They participated in the XXVI Festival of Contemporary Music and the Músicahora Festival, creating Instances of cultural exchange and master classes. The event was sponsored by the Goethe Institut and SIEMENS Stitfung. A second version of the event was planned for 2020 with Sarah Maria Sun (Germany) and Yuji Inoue - DILL (Japan), carrying out collaborative intercultural work with the support of The Japan Foundation, the Japanese Embassy, and private funds. It has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Retrato a Dos Voces. Filmed in the style of film noir, RaDV was the first solo production job for the Arrayán team. The project raised around 4MM in private funds filming in the traditional restaurant Nuria in downtown Santiago with composer Sebastián Jatz as host. The pilot eventually ended up being sold at 13C during the same year.

Natalia is a chilean Designer who has developed a comprehensive career in the creation of landscapes and general spaces. She has worked in movies, video clips, performing arts and social projects, in addition to stage design for music bands & theater plays (in both scenography & costume design). Natalia has also been the Art Director in notable movies such as REY (Niles Atallah), and La Casa Lobo (dir. Cristóbal León & Joaquín Cociña), among others.
Currently, Natalia is working in two film productions scheduled for the first quarter of 2022, designing a bar called El Bajo inside the Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral venue which combines the ideas of community life and its relation with the performing arts, and designing the set design for a Mapuche Cantata, in addition to other 2021 FONDART projects.
Natalia has been a Professor in the Instituto de Comunicación e Imagen from the Universidad de Chile in the years 2019, where she dictated the Experimental Art Direction workshop & seminar.
Yuji started composing music in 1998, and since 2001 under the pseudonim "dill". He has released tracks under that name and also composed music for animation, contemporary dance and butoh. c
Yuji conducted the "Dill ensemble” which is composed by 2 vocal & cello units.
He joined the Japan tour of Taylor Deupree (12k) & Christopher Willits (12k/Fallt), Gell:&Discom, Bogdan Raczynsk (Rephlex), CEX(Tigerbeat 6).
Yuji Completed a tour around Russia and Europe, performed 15 concert in 5 weeks around 10 cities during September - October 2004, and was a guest lecturer at the Russian university of Film & TV.
Tamara dedicates her work to the creation of contemporary instrumental music of diverse conformations, as well as to the search for more experimental and interdisciplinary formats through the inclusion of scenic elements such as the use of body and space, or light design, to mention a few. This search has led her to focus on collaborative and interdisciplinary work, giving rise in the first instance to the collective Acantun, based in Dresden, with whom she’s developing the project "Tempel im Gehör" in collaboration with the ensemble El Perro Andaluz. In 2020 she founded together with other South American artists the interdisciplinary collective LAR∀S, which focuses on Latin American socio-political issues, migration and feminism. She is also currently developing in parallel a series of performance- type works.
Her instrumental works have been performed in Chile and abroad, some coming to be highlighted with awards such as the "Composers in Region - Fantasie Musik" organized by the Elbland Philharmonie Sachsen , the "OSSCA Award" of the Salerno Symphony Orchestra Claudio Abbado in Italy, and third place in the composition competition "Orquesta Marga Marga" in 2016.
Tamara has participated in various festivals including the Festival Musica in Strasbourg, the IMPULS Festival for New Music Saxony-Anhalt 2019, the Transformation Festival Copenhagen 2017, the Transformation Festival New York, the V Berlin Soup International Festival of the Arts, the IIo Ciclo de Música Chilena Contemporánea SCD, II Festival Azul, and the XVIII Festival International de Música Contemporánea.
Tamara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Composition from the Universidad de Chile and an M. Mus. in Composition from the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden. She is currently studying a second Master in Electronic Composition at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln.
Cristóbal is a chilean lawyer, musician & producer. As a lawyer, he has been involved in intelectual property law, new technologies, legal research & human rights, besides having a vast experience in corporate financing of cultural events with public & private funds. As a producer, he has successfully produced more than a dozen works in the last five years with exceptional results including music, theatre, and contemporary dance, while creating alliances with international organizations such as the Goethe Institut and the Japan Foundation —the former implying the creation of the multi-regional Festival MUSICAHORA with german ensamble LUX:NM in the context of the Festival de Música Contemporánea de la Universidad Católica.
In addition, Cristóbal is currently working as the General Secretary of the Corporación Cultural Obras Naturales, based on Villarrica, Chile, that aims at economic, cultural and touristic development using the relationship between art and chilean territory; and the second on board in experimental music/sound-design band Lulu Bernard, commissioned for the play “2022” in Chile, and "Así no Era”, in Mexico.
He has been awarded an indexed publication in the Legal Research Institute of the Autonomous University of México after a lecture given at the Inter-American Academy of Human Rights for his work and authorship on the research paper: Art as emancipation.
María Elvira Reymond
Elvira is a filmmaker and artist. She has written, directed and produced a number of films, such as the feature “Días de Cleo” and the short films “Lluvia” and “Carlos es un Androide” among others. She has also produced and directed music videos for renowned artists in the Chilean independent music scene. As a visual artist, Elvira’s main work is in analogue collage. Her work has been exhibited in a number of venues and has been featured in book covers and magazines. Elvira is part of Colectivo Ensamble, a collective of female collage artists from Chile.
Elvira graduated from Hispanic Literature in Universidad Católica de Chile, then studied Film Directing and Screenwriting in Barcelona’s Bande à Part film school, and Screenwriting in Cuba’s EICTV Escuela International de Cine y Televisión de San Antonio de los Baños. Aside from her work as a filmmaker, Elvira teaches workshops on filmmaking, photography and collage.
Gonzalo studied music and art Pedagogy, with a Masters in Management & Marketing.
He studied contemporary painting at the University of Melbourne, and has worked as a comercial assistant and market analyst in chilean corporations. In addition, he also has a background in digital communication, complex project management and strategic marketing.
Gonzalo is the founder of Corporación ON, and hosted a TED talk about the meaning of Art (El Sentido del Arte is available, here)
JP Rozas is a Chilean composer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile whose cross-disciplinary works include the Chilean improvisation rock band Dolores Fiuler, the theatrical rock band JP Rozas y la Orquesta del Dr. Mario, the poetic rock band Los Aviones Blancos, and his solo project Leyendas del No Age.
He has won numerous funds from the Chilean National Fund for the Arts, including music, literature, and production. He co-founded Arrayán in 2014, and PAM in 2018.
Andreas Schiefelbein is a guitarist, sociologist, and cultural producer. He has participated as a complex project consultor for Arrayán since 2018, managing in-site production of theatre plays, movie documentaries, and music festivals. He is also an active member of the bands Zoológica (post-rock), Lulu Bernard (theater) and El Primero y El Segundo (experimental collective), participating in International Festivals held both in Perú and Mexico.
Andreas studied Sociology in the Universidad Católica de Chile, and Music Production-Creative Sound in CHTlab. He has made musical compositions for theater plays, movies, and podcasts.
Sarah Maria Sun is known as one of the foremost and most extraordinary performers in the contemporary music scene. Her repertoire currently spans more than 1000 compositions from the 16th to the 21st century, including 350 world premieres. She regularly performs as a soloist in renowned concert halls and festivals worldwide. Her tremendous adaptability is demonstrated on a regular basis on the music-theater stage. She has appeared at leading opera houses in Europe and shows her skills for haunting theatrical and musical interpretation time and again in the depiction of complex female figures. For her role as Elsa in Sciarrino's monodrama Lohengrin (2017) as well as for her performance in Philip Venables' 4.48 Psychoses (2019) she was nominated as singer of the year. From 2007-2014, she was the first soprano of the Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart, a chamber ensemble of seven singers that has been one of the world's leading pioneers of contemporary music for decades.
Sarah Maria Sun's discography includes more than 30 CDs, some of which have been awarded prizes. In 2017, four of her six new releases were nominated for the Deut- schen Schallplattenkritik prize. In spring 2020, two most contrasting albums were re- leased by Mode Records: HARAWI with songs by Olivier Messiaen (awarded with the “What a performance!” award) and KILLER INSTINCTS, a Rock-Pop-Satire on a new generation of narcissistic demagougues, with songs by Joe Walshe, Randy Newman, Alan Price and many more. The album „Les Espaces électroacoutiques“ (released in 2020, too) was awarded with the „Deutsche Schallplattenpreis“. Sarah is also an illus- trator and author of children’s books and releases songs with the band Titillating Tofu.

Atsu is a bilingual communicator and producer with a native level of Japanese and advanced level of English. She holds a Bachelor in Entertainment and a Hospitality Management Major in the California State University Fullerton, plus a Business Administration degree.
Atsu has been an internet in Arrayán since the conceptual phase of INTER:CITIES (2nd). Besides being passionate about music live events & the management industry, she has skillfully engage in planning workshops and sponsorship arrangements.
